Appalachian Electric Cooperative held an essay contest for current juniors Four students are chosen from each surrounding high school. The topic was iPower the future.

Mitch Caine presented the awards from Appalachian Electric. First place from Morristown West was Paige Seals and Jared Reed receiving $75.00 and a chance for a $1000 scholarship. Second place winners were Michael Wilder and Michelle Tan who have a chance for a $1000 scholarship.
