HOSA Soars at Carson-Newman Regionals

Health Occupation Students of America, also known as, HOSA,  competed at Carson-Newman university. 
    Darlene Adkins, the  teacher representative for HOSA, stated, “I am elated with the number of students who placed at the regional competition.”
    The dedicated students of HOSA is what makes  it so successful. HOSA had 12 students place to go to the state level for the region.
    With Autumn Snapp, Jenna Smith, Naomi Fodor, Kristof  Lotivio,  Joanna Cardenas,  Keyley Santizo, Mary Hannah Statzer, Makayla Jordan, Alex Mounts, Myiah Portrum, Allie Paxton, Maddi Warren, Jadyn Baker, and Davy Ray all placing from places one to five in their competitions.
    With HOSA as a whole,   it allows students to compete at all levels and allows them to have great leadership skills and allows great community service opportunities for the students.
      Autumn Snapp, who placed first place in her competition is nursing  assisting, stated, “ I am proud of the team as a whole  but we need to improve on personal and team training”
    Overall, HOSA had 12 students place who have a chance to advance to the state level and possibly further in the future.
    With HOSA being a large competitive club, the dedicated and competitive students help push the team to the top with three first placers.
