Seniors, please check the list posted on the office window to see if you are graduating with Honors and Distinction; Honors; or Distinction.  If you name is not on the list and it should be, then see your counselor.  You will want to make sure this is correct, because yearbook pictures for these honors will be taken soon.

Tennis practice today 3:30 - 5:00 at the Country Club.

Attention all Beta & NHS members:  Please go by and sign the meeting minutes posted outside Mrs. Bowen's room sometime this week.

There will be an Inventors' Club meeting tomorrow, Jan. 26, in Mr. Hawkins' room.  Existing members and anyone interested in joining should attend. 

FBLA students are reminded to stop by Mrs. Whaley's classroom to pick up permission slips for regional competition by tomorrow, Jan. 26.

Attention All HOSA regional competitors:  You must see Mrs. Adkins or Mrs. Jeffers by tomorrow, January 26, to pick up permission slips and get information on the February 7, competition at Carson Newman.

Due to last week's weather, basketball homecoming has been rescheduled for the February 8th game against Gatlinburg-Pittman.  We will have a short pep rally at the end of the day on February 7.

Seniors:  Project Graduation t-shirt designs are due on Feb. 7.  Winning designer receives $100 prize!  Turn designs in to Mrs. Reed or Mrs. Gatlin.

A scholarship is available to seniors who plan to seek a degree in Nursing.  Applicants will be judged in the following areas: scholastic achievements (gpa, nursing courses, honors courses etc.), desire and interest (volunteer service, employment, motivation, good aptitude to the profession), need (financial need and resourcefulness) and completeness of the application.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office.
Deadline : February 1, 2018

Students assigned to detention today should report promptly at 3:05 to Room 431, which is the ALP room.  Students arriving after that time will not be admitted.  Students must bring something with them to read or work on.  Failure to serve a tardy or administrative detention will result in the student being placed on the next level of the assertive discipline plan.
