The state's 4th ranked Lady Trojans beat South Greene last night 58-56 to improve to 20-1 on the year.  Blayre Shultz scored 18 points, Caroline Harville scored 12 points, and Macey Hefner scored 12 points to lead West.  Next game is tomorrow vs. Gatlinburg Pittman.

The semi-finals and finals of the freshmen basketball tournament will be played at West High tonight, with the finals being played on Friday night.  Tonight, Jefferson County will play Seymour at 6:00 p.m. and our West High Trojans will play Morristown East at 7:30 p.m.  The winners of tonight's games will play for the championship Friday night at 6:30 p.m.  Admission is $5 for tonight's games.  Due to tonight being tournament play, teacher ID, season passes, and IMAC passes are not accepted.  Only TSSAA and TACA passes will be recognized.

Seniors:  Project Graduation t-shirt designs are due today. 

No tennis practice today.

"Books and Breakfast" will meet in the library this Friday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 a.m.  We will be doing a group picture for the yearbook at this time.  Stop by the library to get your morning pass if you haven't received it by Thursday.

Mu Alpha Theta Math Club meeting Monday, February 12, 3:00 p.m., in Mrs. Dallemagne's room 425.  We will discuss the field trip and the Mu Alpha Theta's First Annual Math Competition.  There will also be forms for the Work Ethic Diploma and the possibility to sign up for new members just finishing Algebra 2. 

Are you interested in learning about history through hands-on experiences in a beautiful and historic setting?  If so, you should consider the Governor William Blount Scholars' program.  Meetings are Thursday evenings at Blount Mansion in Knoxville, beginning February 15.  See Mr. Moreland in room 700 for more information!  Applications are due by Monday, Feb. 12.

If you are a Senior interested in serving tables at the Celebration of Tables dinner, please sign up in the counseling office.  This will give you 2 hours of community service.  Please sign up by March 1.

Any girl interested in trying out for the 2018-2019 cheerleading team needs to pick up a tryout packet in the front office.  There is a mandatory parent meeting Monday, March 12, at 6:00 p.m. for any and all who are trying out.
