Helpdesk interviews will be held today, right after school.

Governor William Blount Scholars will meet tonight at 4:30 at Blount Mansion in Knoxville.  Please see Mr. Moreland in room 700 with questions.  Remember, this is not a school sponsored event, and students are responsible for their own transportation.

The Lady Trojans' Basketball team has advanced to the regional tournament by finishing in 2nd place in the district tournament.  The 1st round of the regional tournament is a satellite game with the top-seeded team hosting.  After the 1st round, the regional tournament will move to Jefferson County High School.  The Lady Trojans will host Science Hill High School Friday night.  The game will start at 7:00 p.m.  Admission is $7.00 with TSSAA and TACA passes ONLY being accepted.  In tournament play, season passes, IMAC passes, and teacher I.D.'s are not recognized.  Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.

Anyone interested in signing up for next year's newspaper staff may obtain an application off Mrs. Whaley's door at room 386.  This business communications class meets the requirements for the Microsoft Academy Office Management cluster or Business Management cluster.  Enjoy running a business and publishing your work.  See Mrs. Whaley for more information.

Attention Spanish speakers:  Do you need community service hours?  See Miss Cobb in room 470 to sign up to help interpret at freshman registration.

Anime Club will meet next Wednesday, Feb. 28. 

Students, you still have until Feb. 28 to sign up and audition for this year's talent show.  Prizes of $100, $50, and $25 will be awarded for first through third places.  Auditions will be held after school next Wednesday in the auditorium.  Please stop by Rebecca Drinnon's room, Room 460, to sign up.

Junior College Planning Night is March 1st at 6:00 in the auditorium.  

Seniors interested in serving tables at the Celebration of Tables dinner, please sign up in the counseling office by March 1.  This will give you 2 hours of community service. 

Attention Seniors:  March 1st is the deadline for the following scholarships and programs: ETSU General University Scholarships, ETSU Fine and Performing Arts Scholars' Program, ETSU Honors In-Discipline Program, Tusculum College Full Tuition Trustee Honors Scholarship, and the Equal Chance for Education Scholarship for DACA students.  Please see your counselor if you have questions about any of these.

Any girl interested in trying out for the 2018-2019 cheerleading team needs to pick up a tryout packet in the front office.  There is a mandatory parent meeting Monday, March 12, at 6:00 p.m. for any and all who are trying out.

Summer Work Based Learning Internship applications are now available to current sophomores, juniors and seniors.  Students may pick up applications from their TNN teacher or in the counseling office.  Applications are due to TNN teachers or the counseling office by April 1, 2018. 

Students assigned to detention today should report promptly at 3:05 to Room 431, which is the ALP room.  Students arriving after that time will not be admitted.  Students must bring something with them to read or work on.  Failure to serve a tardy or administrative detention will result in the student being placed on the next level of the assertive discipline plan.
