The Governor William Blount Scholars will meet today at 4:30 at the Blount Mansion in Knoxville.  Tonight's events include a tour of historic Old Grey Cemetery.  Remember, this is not a school sponsored event, and participants are responsible for their own transportation.  If you have questions, please see Mr. Moreland in room 700.

The tennis team is taking orders for donuts today and tomorrow.  Orders will be delivered Friday.  Place an order and enjoy some sweet treats! 

There is no tennis practice today. 

Junior College Planning Night is tonight at 6:00 in the auditorium.  

There will be an Inventors' Club meeting Friday, March 2, in Mr. Hawkins' room from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

The annual Spring Blood Drive sponsored by HOSA will be held on Thursday, March 8, in the auditorium for students and on the Medic bus for community members.  If you are 18 years old, you must weigh at least 110 lbs. to donate.  If you are 16 or 17, you must weigh at least 120 lbs. and have parental permission.  sign-up forms are located outside Mrs. Adkins' door.  All forms are due by Wednesday, March 7.

"On With the Show" is coming next weekend, March 9 and 10, at 7:00, and March 11, at 2:00.  Tickets on sale at the door for $10.  This year's show will highlight some of TV and movies' best title songs.  So come out and see the East/West musical revue in the West High auditorium, March 9-11.

Are you dedicated?  Are you creative?  Yearbook needs dedicated and creative students on next year's staff.  If you are interested, please pick up an application outside rooms 447 and 482, and please turn them into Mrs. Cutshaw by March 15.

Summer Work Based Learning Internship applications are now available to current sophomores, juniors and seniors.  Students may pick up applications from their TNN teacher or in the counseling office.  Applications are due to TNN teachers or the counseling office by April 1, 2018. 

Students assigned to detention today should report promptly at 3:05 to Room 431, which is the ALP room.  Students arriving after that time will not be admitted.  Students must bring something with them to read or work on.  Failure to serve a tardy or administrative detention will result in the student being placed on the next level of the assertive discipline plan.

·       March 7th – Freshman Registration (3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) for Lincoln Middle only

·       March 12th – Freshman Registration (3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) for Westview only

·       March 14th – Freshman Registration (3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) for Westview only
