The mens' and womens' track teams competed in a 7 way meet last night at Cherokee High School.  The ladies finished a close 2nd to volunteer, while the men ran away with the win in this seven team field.  First place finishes for West include Melanie Reitz and Ricardo Flores JV 800 Meter Run, Girls and Boys 4X800 Meter Relay teams, Girls 4X200 Relay, McKenna Korody and Blaine Metcalf 1600 meter run, Luis Hernandez 3200 meter run, Girls and Boys 4X400 meter relay, Boys pole vault Andrew Parker.  There were also numerous 2nd-8th place finishers that helped lead these teams in the great performances they had on such a cold evening.  Full results can be found at  Congratulate them when you see them.

The boys and girls tennis teams won 2 matches yesterday against Knox Fulton and Knoxville Carter High Schools.  Practice will be today 3:30 - 4:30. 

Today is the release date of this month's West Side Story newspaper.  For those who like coupons, this month's issue contains one coupon for another free original double steak burger from Freddy's.  The coupon is valid for this upcoming Friday, March 24, or Friday, April 13 only.

Attention Seniors:  Several scholarship deadlines fall during the week of Spring Break.  Please make sure you have mailed your applications to the appropriate addresses or to the Counseling Office.  If you have questions, please see Mrs. Reuschel.

Summer Work Based Learning Internship applications are now available to current sophomores, juniors and seniors.  Students may pick up applications from their TNN teacher or in the counseling office.  Applications are due to TNN teachers or the counseling office by April 1, 2018. 

Walters State dual enrollment packets are now available in the counseling office for students planning to take dual enrollment classes this summer or fall.  Walters State will be in the counseling office to register students for their classes on Wednesday, April 4, so students need to have the packets completed with signatures by this date. 

Do you love Coding, Web Development, Robotics, Data Analytics and Virtual Reality? Then Codestock Academy is for you!  Please see your counselor to register for this one day academy held at the Knoxville Convention Center on April 21.

Lady Trojans' soccer tryouts will be May 18, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., at Wayne Hansard Park.  You must have a TSSAA physical before trying out.  Contact Coach Murphy or Coach Lambert with any questions.,, 423-581-1600 extension 1163 or extension 1078.

Students going to get their driving permits must request a 1010 form from the front office 3 days in advance.  First form is free, $3.00 charge thereafter.  You do NOT need a 1010 form for a driver's license UNLESS your driver's permit is out of state.
