***Notice***--announcements appear on this page in chronological (date) order.  Please scroll all the way through to see what's happening and when.

There will be an FFA meeting today, after school in Mr. Tripucka's classroom.  All members are encouraged to attend.

Students assigned to detention today should report promptly at 3:05 to room 431, which is the ALP room.  Students arriving after that time will not be admitted.  Students must bring something with them to read or work on.  Failure to serve a tardy or administrative detention will result in the student being placed on the next level of the assertive discipline plan.

The Governor William Blount Scholars will meet at 5:30 this evening at  Blount Mansion in Knoxville.  This year's topics include open hearth cooking, timber framing and Cherokee history.  For additional information, or to add your name to the list, please see Mr. Moreland in room 700.  This is not a school sponsored event, and students are responsible for their own transportation.

There will be an Inventor's Club meeting on tomorrow, Sept. 14, at 3:00 p.m., in room 534, in the vocational hall.  All members and those who wish to join are welcome.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in joining the Morristown West High School fishing team tomorrow, Sept. 14, in Mr Aldridge's room 536 @ 3:00.

Books and Breakfast will meet tomorrow, September 14th in the library at 7:30 a.m. If you have not received a pass by TNN today, and wish to attend, please stop by the library. Please try to bring in your $10 dues Friday!

Jostens will be here on tomorrow, September 14, to share graduation material orders with our senior class.  They will be here during TNN.

National Art Honor Society students will participate in Arts in the Parks at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Saturday, September 15, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. They will be face painting for children at the park. Sign up sheet is in Mrs. Reed's room (Room 531). This is an excellent way for students to receive service hours for Tennessee Promise.

Trojan Nation, next week is football homecoming week, and we have several special events planned! Listen up for all of the details.  Monday is Winter Holiday Dress-up day. Come dressed as Santa, elves, reindeer, snowmen, or just in your best wintry attire.   Tuesday is Class Color day and the pep rally! Freshmen wear gray, sophomores wear black, juniors wear white, and seniors wear crimson.  If you'd like to participate in a pep  rally game, see one of your grade level's Student Council representatives.  Wednesday is Meme day. Come as your favorite meme, and be a viral sensation! You should also receive your new free Trojan Nation t-shirt during TNN on this day.  Thursday is Pajama day and the Breakfast tailgate. Roll out of bed and come as you are!   Free food and fun start at 7:15 am in the front circle. We'll come in to school a little later than usual at 8:15 and head to TNN to vote for Homecoming Queen.
Friday is Trojan Nation day! Wear your new t-shirt and show your school spirit at the parade and the football game that night.  Anyone is welcome to participate by joining the lineup behind First Baptist Church at 5:45. Parade starts at 6:30. There will be floats for each grade level and many participating clubs.  Walk or ride in the parade over to the stadium for the game against Cherokee starting at 7:30 and including the crowning of our Homecoming Queen and fundraiser winners during halftime.  See a Student Council member for any questions regarding homecoming events. Let's show off the Trojan Spirit!
