THE WOMEN'S AND MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS COMPETED IN THE FENDERS FARM CROSS COUNTRY CARNIVAL THIS PAST WEEKEND.  THE LADIES ENDED UP FINISHING 3RD OUT OF 10 SCHOOLS, AND WERE LED BY MADISYN PAGE'S 7TH PLACE FINISH.  SHE WAS FOLLOWED BY ASHLYN HAAS--13TH, LINZEE MITCHELL--27TH, KATIE SIMONDS-- 29TH, MOLLY WRIGHT--31ST, CAROLINE SPAIN--33RD, AND MCKENNA KORODY--68TH TO ROUND OUT THE TOP SEVEN.  THE MEN FINISHED 2ND OUT OF A 13 FULL TEAM FIELD AND WERE LED BY JESUS PACHECO'S 7TH PLACE FINISH.  HE WAS FOLLOWED BY CHRISTIAN HENRY--9TH, TRENT LOVELACE--14TH, NATHAN SIA-- 15TH, PATRICK LIPOSKY--25TH, LUIS HERNANDEZ--27TH, AND RICARDO FLORES--57TH TO ROUND OUT THE TOP SEVEN.  CONGRATULATE THEM WHEN YOU SEE THEM.

Starting today West High will be having a Water Drive (cases) for victims of Hurricane Florence.  Students are encouraged to bring in cases of water today-Friday. 

Need an after-school place to do homework, Internet research, or just a quiet place to read while you wait for your ride?  The library is offering extended hours this semester, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:25 - 7:50 and 3:20 - 3:45. 

Tomorrow is the deadline for permission slips for the Five Rivers Regional College Fair on Monday the 24th.  Please return your signed permission slips to your TNN teacher.

Tennis practice will be this Thursday, 3:30 - 5:00 at the Country Club.  Also, there will be a parents' meeting, Oct. 4, at West High, at 6:00 p.m. 

Dual enrollment seniors who will be off campus Thursday morning during the vote for Homecoming Queen will need to come to Ms. Cobb's classroom 470 during TNN or 3rd block on Wednesday to cast your vote!  Dual enrollment juniors will still vote online Thursday using the link to survey monkey in your school email account.  The online vote will be open from 8:15-11:45 am, so you will have a larger window to log in and cast your vote before or after your classes. Please see Ms. Cobb with any questions or technical issues.

Seniors, Jostens will be here to take your orders for graduation supplies on Thursday, Sept. 20, during lunch, in the cafeteria and 3:00 - 6:00 in the main lobby.  Please bring your order form and 1st payment on Thursday to get your senior gear.  Extra packets are in the main office.  Juniors, you can still order your class ring, also. 

Beta Members wishing to compete at the state convention must fill out a permission slip and pay a deposit by September 28. Forms are outside Mrs. Bowen's room.

Seniors are allowed ONE college day.  It must be pre-approved.  Bring a note to Ms. Ferguson in the main office at least 2 days before.
