If you plan to take a dual enrollment class through Walters State in the spring semester, you must pick up a registration packet in the counseling office today.

Attention Beta Club and NHS members: Boo Fest at Fred Miller Park is tonight.    Also, please drop off toiletry items for the service project to either to Mrs. Bowen or Mrs. Owens now through Thanksgiving.

A Project Graduation meeting will be held tomorrow, at 6:00 p.m. in the Heritage Room.  Any senior and/or parent interested in helping with Project Graduation should attend.

The Senior group photo will be taken Wednesday, Oct. 31, around 10:45 a.m.  Please make sure to wear crimson, black, gray or white.  Help spread the word.

There will be no tennis practice this Thursday.   All players should pick up physical forms from Coach Bowlin.  He will be in room 600 today. 

Men's soccer meeting for the 2019 season will be Monday, Nov. 5, at 7:00 in the cafeteria.  This is a mandatory meeting for any freshman through senior that wants to tryout.  A parent or guardian must attend with you.  Physicals will be available for $10 for anyone that needs one to tryout.

This year's TALENT SHOW will be Friday, November 9th during 3rd block.  Auditions for the Talent Show will be held Thursday, November 1st after school. We are looking for special talents from students in all grade levels! Singing, dancing, magic, comedy, poetry, and any other unique talents are welcome to audition! Please stop by room 470 or 710 to sign up and get more information. 

The Voice of Democracy scholarship is now available in the counseling office.  This year's theme is "Why My Vote Matters."  Top scholarship award is $30,000.  There are also many other scholarships available and several deadlines are in December.  Please come by the counseling office asap.

This year the West High Yearbook Staff  is holding a contest to encourage students to send in their photos.  The student with the best photo will win a free yearbook and be featured with their photo in the book.  All photos must be submitted by January 15, 2019.  Photos may be entered by using the Balfour Image Share app and our program code, 929306.  For more information, feel free to pick up the Photo Contest information sheet in the yearbook room, 447, or outside Mrs. Cutshaw's room, 482.  The Yearbook Staff does not guarantee that any photos for submission.   Photos must be school-appropriate and relevant to school or school interests, cannot be a copyrighted image, logo, or registered trade mark, and must be the work of the person submitting the photo  If you have concerns about the content of your photo, please see a responsible adult and confirm their approval before sending that photo in. 

Seniors are allowed ONE college day.  It must be pre-approved.  Bring a note to Ms. Ferguson in the main office at least 2 days before.

 Please remember, a 1010 form must be requested in the front office 3 days in advance for your driver's PERMIT.  The first form for the school year is free, $3.00 charge thereafter.  1010 form is NOT required for driver's LICENSE, unless your driver's PERMIT is out of state.
