This week is basketball Homecoming week! The pep rally will be on Friday, the day of the Homecoming games. Each day 1st block teachers will take a "spirit count" of how many students in their class dressed up according to the day's theme. The grade level who has the most participation each day will earn a bonus point going into Friday's Pep Rally! That's up to 5 bonus points before the games even begin!

Tomorrow is Dynamic Duo or Twin Day.
*Grab a friend and get creative! Thing 1 and Thing 2, Batman & Robin, Spongebob & Patrick, the possibilities are endless! 
Wednesday is Summer Vacation Day.
*Dress like a tacky tourist or beach bum, school dress code appropriate, of course!
Thursday is Pajama Day.
*Roll out of bed and come as you are! 
Friday is Trojan Nation Day.
*Wear your new Trojan Nation shirt or other favorite Trojan gear to support the basketball teams as they take on Sevier County!


National Art Society Meeting tomorrow  – 3:10 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.


The Mu Alpha Theta will be having a short meeting after school on Tuesday, January 15, in preparation for a mini competition on Thursday, January 17, with Scholars' Bowl and the Furman University Math Competition.

There will be a HOSA meeting on Thursday, Jan. 17, at 3:05 in Mrs. Adkins' room.  Please wear your HOSA shirts and plan on being there for a group picture. 

Attention Scholars' Bowl members:  We will meet Thursday in Mrs. Bowen's room @ 3 p.m.  We will be taking on the Math Club!  Also, we need to prepare for a Quiz Bowl at the end of January.

Attention West High Club Officers.  Please make sure that your club has sent in photos to the yearbook staff to be included in the book.  Please send in a group photo of your club members and three or four additional photos to be used in the book.  You may email your photos to Mrs. Cutshaw.  If you would like a member of the yearbook staff to attend a meeting to take photos for you, please contact Mrs. Cutshaw or a member of the yearbook staff to set a date and time.  If you do not wish for your club to be included in the yearbook, please notify Mrs. Cutshaw ASAP so that the yearbook staff can make adjustments.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Cutshaw in the yearbook room (room 447) or a member of the yearbooks staff.  All photos should be submitted no later than January 25th. 

 Morristown Housing Authority offers a scholarship for residential youth.  Application link is on the West High Scholarship Page.  The deadline is January 25. Please see your counselor if you have any questions.

Seniors are allowed ONE college day.  It must be pre-approved.  Bring a note to Ms. Ferguson in the main office at least 2 days before.

Attention Students: A 1010 form must be requested in the front office 3 days in advance for your driver's permit. 1st form for the school year is free, $3.00 charge thereafter. 1010 form is not required for driver's license unless your driver's permit is out of state.
