Congratulations to Morristown West FBLA members for having 16 students place in the top 7 at regional competition. These students are eligible to compete in the state competition in Chattanooga in March. Our region spans from Chattanooga to Johnson City.  1st place:  Addison Pennington: Computer Applications, Shane Hess: Database Design and Applications, Madi Blackburn: Introduction to Business Communication, Shona Honaker: Journalism, Zach Hayes: Spreadsheet Applications, Leesha Nichols: Word Processing.  4th place:Abigail Lamb: Agribusiness,  Rudy Robero: Business Communications,  Kenzie Sprouse: Journalism, Edgar Hernandez: Spreadsheet Applications.  6th place:  Vito Raimondi and Dawson Wood: Entrepreneurship.   7th place:  Jessica Shelton: Introduction to FBLA.  Qualifiers:  Elaney Noe: Impromptu Speaking, Nicholas Noble: Job Interview, Madison Adkin: Job Interview.

The top 3 library patrons for January were:  Will Sullivan, Emma Sheedlo, and Hailey Carnal.  Please stop by the library to claim your prize.

The FAFSA deadline to remain eligible for TN Promise is today.  If you need help, please come to the counseling office.  

Attention Seniors: Today is the deadline for the Walters State scholarship application. All students planning to attend Walters State are encouraged to apply. The application can be found on the Walters State website.

Inventor’s Club Meeting, today, 3:00 p.m. in Mr. Hawkins' room.   

Attention Track Team and Anyone intersted in track, Mandatory practice begins on Friday, February 8,  at 3:20.  All track paperwork and DragonflyMax information must be turned in and completed by Monday, February 4.

The Art Contest for the 2019 Project Graduation celebration is now underway.  Project Graduation needs a great design to go on the front of our t-shirts this year!  You can draw or design anything that is descriptive of the Class of 2019 and the winner will receive a $100 cash prize.  All entries are due by Friday, February 8.  See Mrs. Deena Reed for entry forms.  

 Attention Senior Beta and NHS members:  Graduation is less than 4 months away!  If you are a Beta or NHS member in good standing and would like to purchase a graduation stole, tassel, or honor cord, please see the board outside Mrs. Bowen's room for details.  Registration for the March Beta Summit is due Feb. 12.
