Calling all artists! You are invited to participate in the West High Early Postsecondary Week Logo contest. Simply create a design that highlights all the ways students can earn postsecondary credit while still in high school such as AP, Dual Enrollment, and Industry Certifications. The winner will receive a $35.00 Amazon gift card, and their logo will be the “official” EPSO logo for West High. See your art teacher or Mr. Moreland for more details.

Students assigned to detention today should report promptly at 3:05 to room 431, which is the ALP room.  Students arriving after that time will not be admitted.  Students must bring something with them to read or work on.  Failure to serve a tardy or administrative detention will result in the student being placed on the next level of the assertive discipline plan. 

There will be a HOSA meeting  today, at 3:05 in Adkins room 578.  All members must attend or see Mrs. Adkins or Mrs. Skeen before the meeting.

Tennis practice is today, Oct. 10, at the Country Club, 3:30 - 5:00.

Sophomores and Juniors who wish to attend the ETSU Hispanic Day on Oct. 22, can get permission slips in the guidance office. Permission slips are due by tomorrow, Oct. 11.  The field trip to ETSU will be Oct. 22.  Space is limited. 

Dollywood has expressed an immediate need for seasonal part time workers.  If any students or teachers are interested, this interview will take place tomorrow, Oct. 10, starting at 3:00 pm at Central office.  Students will be paid $10 per hour and must work 2 shifts per week.  Family passes are given to those who work at Dollywood.

There will NOT be an Inventor's Club meeting this Friday.

"Books and Breakfast" will meet tomorrow, Oct. 11, in the library at 7:30 a.m.  Please have your $10 membership fee paid by this date, or bring your own breakfast.  Invitations will go out Wednesday.  These should be used for early morning passes to get into the building on Friday.  

Seniors are allowed ONE college day. It must be pre-approved.  See Ms. Ferguson at least two days before you go.
