***Notice***--announcements appear on this page in chronological (date) order.  Please scroll all the way through to see what's happening and when.

There will be a mandatory parent/athlete track meeting today at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

There will be a HOSA meeting on Thursday, Nov.21 at 3pm in room 578.

Do you like to read, but don't have time to come to the library?  We have the perfect solution!  The Public Library and our school library are working together to offer free online access to thousands of books for students! Popular novels, informational books, magazines, and more online content are available for students to check out electronically.  Items can be kept for up to 3 weeks, and there are no overdue fees.  Stop by the library to fill out a short form that will set you up.

FCCLA's next meeting will be November 25 right after school in Mrs. Scariano's room. We will discuss our Christmas stocking drive during this meeting.

We have a container in the front lobby outside the main office for "Coats for the Cold."  If you have a coat you no longer use, we would greatly appreciate it if you could bring your coat and drop it in the container to help another person in our community that doesn't have one.  We have so many people in our community in need of a coat:  adults and children.  Every donation will be given to someone that will greatly appreciate it.

Applications are now available for all eleven of the Tennessee Governor's Schools. The Tennessee Governor’s Schools are summer programs for current sophomores and juniors. The programs are academically demanding and require students who are high achievers. Students who are interested in applying may find the application online. For help, please see Mrs. Byrd in the counseling office. Completed applications are due to the counseling office by November 20th.

Attention seniors: The deadline for selecting your senior portrait has been extended until Nov 20. Please log onto the prestige portrait account that you received with your proofs and select your favorite blue background picture to be used in the yearbook. If you do not select one, the default picture that prestige portraits selected will be used.

Help us get school supplies just by grocery shopping at Ingles. All you have to do is link your Ingles card to West High school. This must be done every year (it doesn't carry over year to year but it's easy to do.) Go to and clink on "LINK NOW". Our school code number is 11604.
