Attention upcoming sophomores, juniors and seniors:   are you organized, dependable, creative and have computer skills? Do you have good writing skills and can stay after school on occasion? Then we have a great opportunity for you! Apply to be on the Astron Yearbook Staff for the next school year. Pick up an application outside Mrs. Cutshaw’s room 482 or outside the yearbook room 447.

The annual Spring Blood Drive, sponsored by HOSA, will take place on Thursday, March 5 from 8am-3pm. 16 year olds must weigh at least 125 lbs and have parental permission and 17 & 18 year olds must weigh at least 115 lbs. Everyone must also have a photo ID. Students may get sign up forms from any health science teacher or at the front office. These are due by Wednesday, March 4. Teachers and Staff are encouraged to donate as well.  There will a medic bus for community donors outside the auditorium from 9am-4pm.  All donors receive a Medic gift and save lives!!

Cheerleading Tryouts are March 30-April 3. Any girl interested in trying out needs to pick up a tryout packet in the main office. There is a mandatory meeting Monday, March 16th to attend in order to tryout.

Seniors who applied for the TN Promise Scholarship program must attend a mandatory TN Promise team meeting on Wednesday, March 4th, at 5:00 pm in the cafeteria to retain their eligibility for the scholarship program. Student attendance is required. Parents are welcome to attend but may not attend in place of the student.

The Talent Show is coming up soon! Student Council will be hosting auditions for this year's Talent Show after ACT testing on March 17th during the school day OR after school on Thursday, March 19. You must see Ms. Cobb in room 470 to sign up for a time slot and get instructions. We're looking for talent of ALL kinds: singers, dancers, comedians, magicians, actors, poets; come show us what you've got!

Seniors: Jostens will be here in the cafeteria on March 19th to distribute senior supplies to seniors that have paid. If you have not paid and would like to pick up your supplies on March 19th, you will have the opportunity to complete your payment at that time
