Graduate of University of Tennessee, 1989.

Master's Degree from East Tennessee State University, 2006.

I have been an educator in Hamblen County for 30 years.  At the start of my career, I taught 1st grade at Fairview-Marguerite Elementary for 12 years, then moved to 4th grade at Manley Elementary for 5 years.  I earned my Master's Degree in Library Science, then transferred to the Manley Elementary Library for 6 years.  As of 2012, I started my library experience at West High.

I am married with two children and several pets.  Animals and reading are my two favorite things.  I grew up in Maryland, and moved to Tennessee when I was 18 years old.  Since then I have enjoyed the mountains, history, and lakes of East Tennessee. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!
