Chevrolet of Morristown is looking to hire someone to work 2 or 3 nights a week and every other Saturday in the office. 

Walters State Community College FAFSA FRENZY is today, at the Morristown campus.  Financial aid staff members will be available to assist in the process until 7 p.m.  The FRENZY will be in the financial aid office, located on the upper floor of the Dr. Wade B. McCamey Student Services Building.  No appointment is necessary.  The FAFSA is the free application for federal student aid.

Books and Breakfast meets tomorrow at 7:30 in the library.  Hall passes are being delivered today.  If you don't get one and would like to attend, please stop by the library today! 

Don't forget to find our library on FB at "Morristown-Hamblen High School Library."   Monday's trivia question is already on there, and there will be another trivia question this today.  Bring answers to the library by tomorrow to be eligible to win prizes!

Students, make plans to attend the Fall Festival and dance tomorrow, November 10, from 5-9 p.m.  Tickets are still on sale through today, from 3:00 - 3:30 p.m. in the main lobby.  Gather your friends and make some wonderful memories!

The Mu Alpha Theta Math Club meeting will be held Monday, November 13, at 3:00 in Mrs. Dallemagne's room (425).  A club picture will be taken promptly at 3:10.  Attendance is required for all members.  Following the pictures, we will have a speaker.  Anyone can attend to receive points toward the Work Ethic diploma.  We will also discuss a possible field trip and December meeting activity.

A field trip to TCAT in Morristown is planned for November 20 for Juniors and Seniors interested in attending TCAT.  Permission forms are available in the counseling office and must be returned to the counseling office by Wednesday, November 15. 

Thanksgiving Food Drive is going on through Fri. Nov. 17.  Please help those in our community who have a need for food this holiday season. 

TN Promise Volunteer Opportunity:  Friday Nov. 17 Seniors may meet Mrs. Whaley at Central Services from 3:30-5:00 to sort food.  Volunteers are always needed for this.   This is an easy opportunity for seniors to receive 1.5 volunteer hours toward TN Promise.  Please see Mrs. Whaley for more details and a form.

TN Promise deadline for completion is January 16.  The FAFSA also is the application for the Tennessee Hope Scholarship which is available tot students attending a college or university in Tennessee who scored a 21 on the ACT or have a 3.0 unweighted GPA.

 

Students assigned to detention today should report promptly at 3:05 to room 431, which is the ALP room.  Students arriving after that time will not be admitted.  Students must bring something with them to read or work on.  Failure to serve a tardy or administrative detention will result in the student being placed on the next level of the assertive discipline plan.
