I have an Associate of Science degree from Walter's State Community College in Morristown, TN.  I also have a Bachelor of Science degree from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN.  My graduate studies were at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN and East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN, where I added my special education endorsement.

My first year of teaching was at Union Heights Elementary School here in Morristown.  The next year I moved to West View Middle School to teach reading/language arts in the special education department.  Next I worked at Community Christian School, a private school, in Morristown, TN.  I taught grades 4,5,&6 and was assistant principal.  After that I came to West High School's Special education Department and have been here ever since except for one year in 1996 when I worked at East High.

I am originally from Greene County and a graduate of Greeneville High School.  I moved to Morristown to attend Walter's State Community College and have been here ever since.  I began teaching in the fall of 1976 and came to West High in the fall of 1981.  Except for one year since then I have been at West ever since.
